About Black Bones Music
Music is the focus
Terri Davis and her husband, Paul, grew weary of trying to listen to great musicians whose artistry was being drowned out by the constant distractions and noise of restaurants and bars. Terri decided to start something different; an intimate "listening room" where the magic of the artist and their music is the focus. They partnered with their friends Paul and Tammy Foster, the proprietors of Ginny & Jane E's Bakery and Café, who offered their unique restaurant for Terri to host her afterhours concerts. Join us for a fantastic evening of music and fun!
Who is "Black Bones?"
Terri and Paul's fabled feline
Bones was adopted from the Humane Society when he was just a kitten, and... he's pure black. As a fan of Star Trek, their son named the kitten as a tribute to his favorite character, "Doctor McCoy." Little did we know how apropos the name would become. After eight years of Terri's pampering, Bones ran away from home and lived alone on the streets of Bradenton. Without any front claws to protect himself or hunt for food, Bones struggled to survive for over 100 days. He was in bad shape when he was found, so bad that the vet suggested putting him down due to his injuries and poor health. Refusing to give up, Terri and Paul took Bones on a journey to recovery that was long and difficult. Through lots of love and endless musical interludes, Bones slowly returned to the loving and beautiful cat Terri knew and loved! He has a funky ear and lots of scars, but with tons of moxie and a new found love of music, he inspired the name of her venue, Black Bones Music.
